About Us

Proof We Exist began with a simple observation. So much of what people create, a late night poem, a photograph from an ordinary walk, a drawing made to work through something difficult, is never seen by anyone beyond the person who made it. We built this magazine to change that.

We publish poetry, photography, and visual art from contributors around the world, with new voices joining every volume. We accept work across every medium because we believe different people reach for different forms when trying to express something true, and no single form has a monopoly on honesty. We aren't looking for polish. We're looking for work that says something real, work that could only have come from the person who made it.

Each volume is built around a theme, and alongside it we publish interviews with a select few artists and poets whose work stood out to us, giving readers a closer look at the person behind the piece. If you've made something and haven't found the right place for it, we'd like to see it. Submissions are always open, and every piece is read personally by our team.
